Transition - Feedback & Meeting

When we had our Transition feedback Simon gave us some good pointers to work on. Some things we need to focus on before we start filming;
  • New scenes to be added within the script
  • We need more dramatic scene - montages shouldn't be boring 
  • We are still waiting to confirm our location at the 'Diner' in the studios
  • I had found both of our main characters (Alex, Ben) from Mancy.com they are both very keen on working with us and cannot wait to get started.
  • Shot list to be created - Laura and I are planning to do this 
  • Me being a director i really want to get a drone and shoot some dorne footage but i'm not sure if we are able to get hold of one.
Some pinters Simon gave us from the Meeting;
  • Adding more detail into the script - what are we actually filming? 
  • Getting laura to test shoot with some equipment before the filming day 
  • Break all the shots down - be organised! 
  • The montage needs a lot more thoughts
  • Thinking about the transition between the montage and diner
  • Thinking of the lighting during our shooting day. 

All of this needs to be taken into considiration, i agree with thinking about the montage a little more - currently i feel like it's too broing for a dramatic aspect.

While coming up with my proposal i really wanted to discover more about John Clare. John was born in 1793 and was a very famous poet, he was born as the son of a farm labourer and did not have much money. Many individuals state that Clare is 'the greatest labouring class poet that England has ever produced' since he came from a very poor background. While reading up on his background it was very hard, he had a troubled childhood and was also sent to an asylum where he had written most of his poems. I chose the Trespass poem due to me really having a strong connection to it. I feel as John Clare felt a lot of loneliness and pain during the time that this poem was written. As Live Production - TX and Final Rehersal

Today was the day we were all preparing for! 'Steal the Style' went live! Everything egan shart at 9:00am, since the lighting and set team had to come in early to get started. Most of the work had to be completed way before the transmission hour which was 14:00. First thing me and George got to doing is setting up talkbacks and giving them out, these have an effective communication between everyone within the gallery and floor. Everyone was set and ready to go with final rehersals that started first thing in the morning, during these rehersals we were feeling confident. We were hitting our 30 minute mark and nothing had gone wrong. Everyone was ready our presenters, contributors, models, techs, first years etc. Both me and George had to make sure that all camer ops recieve a talkback and each one of us (Me, George, Jack) as the floor managers. A Series Of Unfortunate Events I have recently been loving quite a lot of Netflix original series. I have realised now that in this century awe can pretty much watch absolutely everything on the go, Netflix is one of the most popular online platform where people can watch brilliant TV series and historical films where ever they are and on any device. Which makes Netflix even more profitable to create amazing series such as 'A Series of Unfortunate Events'.
