Transition - Filming Day One
Originally we were hitting our targets and shoot days for this entire project, the first filming day that we had to do for the transition project was getting coverage and location shots. - due to me working pretty much full-time i wasn't able to attend this shoot, but this didn't stop me from Directing. I had made inputs throughout the entire filming process. I wanted to make sure that the group had gotten enough shots to include within the project. I had checked over the script and call sheet that Callum produced and i was pretty happy.
The feedback from the team was very positive, they were happy with the shots that were filmed which included filming in Capstone Country Park, Hartlip Area etc. Most of these areas suited my idea of the 'dramatic aspect' especially the lake - i loved the way it looked! With Katie being the editor i feel like she can make those shots look very interesting and dramatic and of course visually pleasing.
Looking at some of the footage I'm not sure if it would fit in well, it might look too much as a plain student documentary but i feel like in the post-production process we can make something great out of it especially within colour grading and stabilazation.
