I've been working very hard on this short project. It might only be 1 minute or so but i really wanted to add special effects to make the film seem realistic and professional. Of course there is always room to improve but i feel like this is the best i could do with this, and i am very proud of the outcome! I decided to add a lot of sound effects as this was filmed outside. I wanted the audience to really be in the video with the character, i wanted them to feel that she is in a car park near a forest. I also challenged myself to add motion blur to the video! My cars number plate gave me a reason to challenge myself, i did not want my number plate in this video and taught myself how to motion blur in the process. I've tried my best to make it look as good as possible to blur out the number plate but it could be much better, i have also made the short film look a bit darker than the original clips as i wanted the audience to think that there is danger approaching our character. Here are some screenshots of the editing process and of course the final product.
A Series Of Unfortunate Events I have recently been loving quite a lot of Netflix original series. I have realised now that in this century awe can pretty much watch absolutely everything on the go, Netflix is one of the most popular online platform where people can watch brilliant TV series and historical films where ever they are and on any device. Which makes Netflix even more profitable to create amazing series such as 'A Series of Unfortunate Events'. This TV series was inspired by the popular 2004 film directed by Brad Silberling, and also the most popular best selling book series written by Lemony Snicket's. The books began in 1999 followed by the major blockbuster film release in 2004, this really made audiences want more since nothing was made after the film, until now 2017 where we have been given a brilliant Netflix original tv series. The series took a different turn compared to the film, of course this could be mostly due to having a bigger bu...
Sonia Zelenicka Directs David Fincher When we first got the introduction to the Directions unit i was so excited, one of my favourite things is to Direct. During my first project i realised that screenwriting wasn't my thing but i still had to give it a go and try, when i then went on to film and direct my own project i loved every minute of it. This project taught me so much of how to be a brilliant director. First thing i realised is that i had to always treat my crew and team nicely, provide them with help and always be positive. If your crew feels like you appreciate their work they will work well with you and make sure that your project ends up perfectly. I absolutely loved to work with my crew and i hope to have them on my other projects. Another thing i really focused on this project was key lighting, we had a few workshops about lighting and now it became one of my favourite things to play around with while filming and also in post-production. It is crazy that lightin...
The script writing is something that i am not very confident in, i am not a writer i like to be in post production BUT that doesn't mean i don't have to do it. Everyone had their own section to write, i wrote the Live section of the script Callum wrote the studio part and Joni and Amber wrote the News Package part of the script. I had started writing and felt more and more confident in what i was doing since i was actually presenting the live i felt like it was the right direction. I also had Amber and Joni helping me overall with what questions i can write down and how to execute them. I had started the script a little rough and then started to develop it every day to make sure it was prepared on the day of filming. Callum also helped me come up with some questions i could ask Tom who i was interviewing on the day. He printed out a sheet for me with some question that would be very helpful on the day. Within the first draft i already felt more confident towards the end becau...
