Digital News - Editing 'Live' and 'Studio'

Today we spent a very long time at the studios making sure that all of our edits are perfected. We also had a fine cut meeting with Helen and she gave us great positive feedback which was very helpful. Amber and Joni cut together the 'Live and Studio' section while i worked very hard on editing the folkestone section and re doing the voice overs to make sure that they sound good! We were all together and started sharing computers and editing what we thought was needed, Joni and Amber also managed to get the trailer shot together quickly and easy while i made sure to keep the website updated and also all the social media. I feel like finally everything is finished and finalised, we couldn't be happier with the outcome overall.

With out final look at the Folkestone edit we decided to add some funky music over it to really create a fun atmosphere, Helen also told us to add more cover shots so the audience understand where they are. The only thing that really bugs me is that we had to cut all the interview's so short because of the time limit, but it still looks great! Helen loved the idea that we ended the Folkestone edit at a local Fish and Chips store! Overall i think by creating so many exports and getting so much feedback helped me create this edit into something brilliant.

The 'Live' section was edited a while back and it didn't take long to edit at all, it was only a short sequence and fairly simple to edit. Amber and Joni made sure to cut all the clips together and then we would all investigate about what needs to be added and removed, as well as the Studio section they had edited cut that together and placed it in-between the 'Live' section and now added the 'News Package' that i completely finished and edited. Amber will now add the name graphics onto the final edit and export the final sequence.

I am now waiting for Joni to send me the introduction/trailer she had made so i can perfect it and upload it onto our YouTube channel!
